Change…

While I realize that it isn’t reasonable for me to expect at this point for this blog to keep any readership after my erratic blogging behavior, still manners oblige, so -and just in case:

Dear all,

When I started this blog back in July 2006 my main objectives at the time were:

(…) “to force/discipline myself to write on a sort of regular basis. If, in the process, someone gets any useful insight on any topic that might came up here, all the better.

And, like stated at the ‘About‘ page:

(…) “English was chosen as the main language of this blog for practical as well as for similar self-development / self-discipline related reasons… Spanish being my mother tongue…

Well, in all honesty the ‘discipline myself’ part has not been fulfilled… Which is a mild way of saying that I’ve completely failed on that front.

As for the practicing English part of that mission statement of sorts, no problems there. I really enjoy learning as well as practicing languages… English being my favorite one.

Not only by means of this blog, but by requirements of my professional practice, my occasional contributions to this other blog here, my tweets, as well as by way of interaction with the many, many kind and good friends developed abroad over the years, I’m happy to report that keeping up with English has been a joy and a pleasure.

As I’m coming up with a strategy to minimize excuses from myself for updating this blog, I’m going to change the ‘english only’ rule. From now on you will find posts written in Spanish as well. As for the subject matters: I’m also broadening the scope of what will get published here…

Here is a hint on how the scope, the subject matters discussed on this blog, will be evolving starting as of now… :) )

As always, any feedback will be most welcome.
Many thanks, TFS
